BOOK REVIEW: BENT AT THE PAGES BY CASSIDY L. ELLSWORTH

Bent At The Pages: A Young Adult Novel
by Cassidy L. Ellsworth
Published: February 11th 2017
Kindle Edition: 64 pages

MY GOODREADS RATING 4/5 STARS

(Thanks to the author I received a copy of this book to review)

GOODREADS:

"Logan  strange is a troubled, small town girl who has to go on an unlikely journey to find the true identity of her favorite author. Partnered with a boy she wished she would never have to see you again, they discovered much more than the truth about Mr. Aiden Quinn."

MY THOUGHTS:

I thought this was a very cute short story that was extremely easy to read. The story was extremely descriptive, at some points it was a bit too descriptive for me. I found the storyline quite interesting and unique. I thought the chapter titles were very clever and I liked them. I found that the final twist was unpredictable, which was great.
I really liked the characters. I found them very relatable and a bit quirky which I liked. Like Logan I have anxiety, and I could relate to her the most. I love that she loved books because I do as well. I also know the feeling of that one book that really changes your perspective on things. I liked the fact that I had so much in common with her.
I would recommend this story to fans of contemporary reads. I really hope the author writes a sequel because I would love to know what happens after the story. I felt that it was a great quick read for it's very inexpensive price tag.
