GOODREADS SYNOPSIS:
Kadence Mulligan's star was rising. She and her best friend, Lauren DeSanto, watched their songs go viral on YouTube, then she launched a solo career when a nasty throat infection paralyzed Lauren's vocal chords. Everyone knows Lauren and Kadence had a major falling-out over Kady's boyfriend. But Lauren knows how deceptive Kadence could be sometimes. And nobody believes Lauren when she claims she had nothing to do with the disappearance. Or the blood evidence As the town and local media condemns Lauren, she realizes the only way to clear her name is to discover the truth herself. Lauren slowly unravels the twisted life of Kadence Mulligan and sees that there was more to her than she ever knew. But will she realize she's unknowingly playing a part in an elaborate game to cover up a crime before it's too late?”

This book is written in multiple points of view which is one of my favorite types of books to read. I love that dates and times were included at the beginning of each chapter. It made the timeline very easy to follow. The writing style was extremely straight forward, which helped the overall sense of the story and made it a really quick and easy read.I find it makes the story more interesting that some of the chapters are set up as interviews, videos, and some are just the character’s thoughts. It gives it a nice change and helps you stay interested in the story.
The character building in this book was some of the best I’ve come across in YA. You learn a lot about each character, but there is also a sense of mystery to each. They all have both good qualities and bad, personality wise, which makes them very relatable. It also gives you a reason to question whether or not to believe them, which keeps the air of mystery alive. The chapters featuring Kady’s YouTube videos were some of my favorites because they helped you get into her head and let her true personality shine through.

Overall this book was hard to put down, I just kept wanting to turn the pages to see which twists were coming next. It had me on the edge of my seat, which has been extremely rare as of late. As a side note I like that the story slightly touched on cyber bullying through YouTube comments, as this is an ongoing issue in society right now.
